Palomar Medical Center Tour
On Friday, November 6, CSHP-UCSD hosted its first hospital tour of the year. Dr. Jennifer Floyd and the residents at Palomar Medical Center invited students to come see the pharmacy services at the Palomar Medical Center! We had 20 students attend, and Dr. Floyd introduced the hospital to all the students, and the residents gave a tour to the students afterwards. Most of the members who attended were first years who had an interest in hospital pharmacy, and appreciated the exposure to the hospital. They were able to see the Emergency Room, Surgery, ICU floors, nursing units, and the inpatient pharmacy. Overall, students enjoyed the tour and the time they had with the residents to ask questions about the hospital and about residencies.
